Bailey Bikers –Craig & 14 yr old son Jake recently cycled all the way from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for 3 charities one of which was ours to date they have raised £3000 for AAR-UK-awesome!
Liz Sinclair of Creative Hair Solutions Glasgow organised an amazing lunch at 29 Glasgow with entertainment, a fashion show, quiz & auction as well as informative talks about alopecia & semi-permanent make-up. The lunch raised £1500 & further awareness of alopecia. Liz is pictured on the left with Phil who won the star prize & Alison our fundraising manager.
Hannah Manley & Heathfield Community School Taunton raised £250 for us at their school fair. Thank you for your hard work .
Miss Scotland finalist Lucy Kerr raised £1100 at her Girls Night In with a fun filled night of games beauty treatments & entertainment. Lucy went on to win Miss Scotland – Congratulations & thank you to Lucy for supporting us.
Nicola McBride’s Family Funday in August raised £400 for us & lots of children enjoyed a day of fun activities Nicola is an amazing fund raiser for AAR-UK.
The 2nd Princess & Superhero Ball in September raised £675 for AAR-UK another great children’s event organised by Nicola McBride. Thank you Nicola, for your continuous hard work.
Alison Amiee & Liz took our new pop up stand to St Enoch’s shopping Centre Glasgow & collected £220 in tins & with a raffle. We enjoyed meeting people & raising awareness of AAR-UK & our mission.
A fabulous children’s party day was held at the Corinthian Glasgow with all their favourite Princesses & Superheroes organised by Nicola McBride who’s 5 year old daughter has alopecia. The children had an absolute ball playing games, winning prizes & enjoying a tea of sandwiches & cake. Nicola raised £1300 & is already taking bookings for the next one in September 2016 Thank You Nicola!!

Amanda Gilmour runs Crystal Charity Ball every year. Half the proceeds went to Cervical Cancer Awareness and the other half to AAR-UK….the evening was a huge success and a credit to Amanda and her team for such a fabulous night £2500.00 raised

Bob Crowhurst President of St Giles and St Luke’s Masonic Lodge heard of Amy Harwood’s struggle with the autoimmune disease alopecia and her fundraising efforts to raise money for AAR-UK. Bob and his Masonic Lodge were impressed that despite Amy’s own personal battles with alopecia, she still managed to stay positive and help others. They kindly offered to donate the proceeds for their charity raffle (£400) this year to AAR-UK ,in support of Amy and the vital research project that needs to begin. A huge thank you!

Our Charity Secretary Karen Green held a Vintage Tea Party with with My Fairytale Wardrobe in Essex in Oct 2014 and managed to raise over £500 for AAR-UK. Karen was overwhelmed by the support she received…. We all were! Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success!
